MONADNOCK COUNSELING SERVICES WELCOMES YOU
Have a particular obstacle that you're trying to overcome? Sometimes, seeking help from a licensed professional is the best way to put things into perspective. Providing compassionate and professional mental health services in the rural setting of the Monadnock region of New Hampshire is our passion. We are happy to guide you through all of life's challenges with the attention and care you deserve. We provide both individual counseling services and safety assessments.
Treatments include a multi-faceted approach with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and we now offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Treatment (EMDR). EMDR is an evidence based, comprehensive treatment approach. This type of therapy addresses the physiological storage of memory and how it informs experience. Change is understood as the byproduct of reprocessing due to alteration of memory storage and the linkage to adaptive memory networks. EMDR therapy is used to address adverse life experiences that contribute to problems in daily living. EMDR is considered an “A” level treatment for trauma and recommended by the World Health Organization. EMDR has successfully treated social anxiety, phobias, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, depression, attachment disorder, conduct problems, self-esteem, grief, mourning, body dysmorphic disorder, sexual dysfunction, pedophilia, psychotic disorders, chronic pain, migraines, phantom limb pain, and medically unexplained physical symptoms.
"The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind"
